Lajos Illés - Of counsel
Lajos specializes in banking, corporate restructuring, insolvency proceedings as well as civil litigation, corporate and real estate transactions.
He worked as a banking lawyer for a significant part of his career holding senior legal and management positions at several leading Hungarian financial institutions in the areas of risk management, workout and restructuring. He is an accredited instructor of the Institute for Training and Consulting in Banking, a regular lecturer at the Law Academy of Public Services, and a listed supervisory and resolution commissioner at the Hungarian Central Bank.
He obtained a degree in law at the Faculty of Law at JATE University in Hungary, and a master’s degree in finance and an MBA at the English-language courses of the Université Côte d’Azur in France.
After his career in banking, he established his private legal practice in 2015, and has been an associate lawyer at HP Legal since his registration at the Budapest Bar.
